CoastalPro joined the European discussions around the EU Ocean Pact, contributing the perspective of coastal tourism skills to a debate often dominated by fisheries, shipping and marine research.
Our message was straightforward: coastal tourism is one of the largest employers in the blue economy, and the transition to sustainable models depends on the competences of the people who run small coastal businesses.
The project presented early results from its training cohorts and its gamified learning platform as a replicable model for skills delivery across EU coastal regions.
